Adelphi is seeking a Board Certified Pathologist Physician for a medical center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Pathologist Physician will be responsible for Perform various pathology procedures including gross, microscopic, and final diagnosis rendering, as well as coding of surgical reports.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Full and unrestricted License in any State, or US Territory
• BC by the American Board of Pathology
• Must have 2 years experience in the last 4 years
• DEA Certificate
• ACLS
• NPI

Responsibilities:
• Perform various pathology procedures including gross, microscopic, and final diagnosis rendering, as well as coding of surgical reports.
• Provide intraoperative consultation to surgical services.
• Conduct fine needle aspiration biopsies and rapid onsite evaluations for various biopsy types.
• Perform autopsies, often alongside pathology trainees.
• Engage in peer review processes as needed.
• Interpret serum and urine protein electrophoresis results.
• Oversee a section of the laboratory and ensure quality assurance and quality improvement measures are implemented.
• Participate in hospital and departmental committees and conferences.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Supervise pathology trainees and provide teaching to medical students, pathology residents, clinical fellows, and laboratory technical staff.
• Offer consultation to medical center and laboratory staff on matters related to test utilization and result interpretation.
