**Pathologist opening in Cooperstown, NY** Located in the Foothills of the Adirondack and Catskill Mountains 75 miles from Albany, NY; 190 miles from NYC **Position Details:** - Full-time, permanent position - Hospital employed - AP/CP Pathologist - Academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University - NYS COQ strongly desired. - Replace a retiring member of an established group of five pathologists covering the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology needs of the entire integrated network. - Primary duties are anatomic pathology sign-out. - General practice including minor teaching responsibilities and directorship of outlying network laboratory. - Approximately 18,000 surgical cases and 10,000 Cytopathology cases examined annually with the support of Pathologists Assistants and Cytotechnologists **Job Qualifications:** - MD/DO - Board Certification - Possession of or ability to obtain NYS Licensure and NYS certificate of qualification (COQ) **Benefits:** - Medical, dental and vision insurance - Paid time off, including vacations and holidays - Life insurance and disability protection - Paid Malpractice - Retirement benefits - CME time and money - Moving Allowance **Health Network:** Healthcare network is an integrated health care system that provides care and services to people living in an eight county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York.
