A hospital system in Pennsylvania is seeking a Forensic Pathologist for an ongoing locum tenens assignment supporting hospital and county coroner autopsy services.
This opportunity focuses on forensic autopsies and hospital autopsy cases, with case volumes varying depending on forensic referrals received from the county. The physician will provide in-house pathology services within a large inpatient hospital environment.
This assignment is ideal for physicians experienced in forensic pathology, autopsy pathology, and anatomic pathology interpretation seeking flexible coverage blocks.
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct hospital autopsy examinations
• Interpret pathology specimens when required
• Provide pathology consultation to hospital clinical teams
• Maintain documentation and pathology reporting standards
Qualifications
• Board Certified Pathologist
• Experience performing forensic and hospital autopsies
• Active Pennsylvania medical license
• BLS certification
Working Hours
• Duration: Ongoing coverage
• Schedule varies depending on forensic case volume
Example coverage blocks requested:
• May 17 – May 23, 2026
• June 8 – June 28, 2026
• One week in October (TBD)
