Job description
A hospital in the Elkins, WV area is looking for an interventional pain physician for a 3 to 6 month locum assignment starting December 2026 or January 2027, depending on credentialing. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, 2 to 3 weeks a month, with no call. Pay is $231 per hour, with overtime and holidays at 1.2x ($277.20 per hour). You will see about 15 patients a day, ages 30 to 80, in a pain clinic supported by 2 RNs and a rad tech for procedures. IMLC licensure or a West Virginia temporary license works, and the facility supports licensing. Travel and lodging are covered.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform fluoroscopically guided spinal injections, including cervical, thoracic, and lumbar epidural steroid injections
- Perform medial branch blocks, RFAs of lumbar and cervical medial branches, joint, SI joint, and facet injections
- Perform trigger-point injections, peripheral nerve blocks, and ultrasound-guided procedures
- Document in NextGen
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Active license in an IMLC state, or eligibility for a West Virginia temporary license
- DEA registration
- Competency in fluoroscopy-guided procedures and ultrasound-guided injections; intrathecal pump experience preferred
