A hospital in the Elkins, West Virginia area, in the mountains near the Monongahela National Forest, needs an interventional pain physician for 2 to 3 weeks a month, from December 7 for 3 to 6 months. $231 an hour, Monday to Friday, with no call. Overtime after 40 hours and holiday pay are $277.20 an hour. Your travel and expenses are covered.

Job Responsibilities

A full interventional pain practice in a pain clinic and hospital: about 15 patients a day, ages 30 to 80. Procedures include fluoroscopically guided cervical, thoracic, and lumbar epidural steroid injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablation of lumbar and cervical medial branches, joint, SI joint, and facet injections, trigger-point injections, peripheral nerve blocks, and ultrasound-guided procedures. Intrathecal pump experience is preferred. You work with 2 RNs and a rad tech for procedures. Next Gen EMR.

Qualifications

Board certified, with an accredited pain fellowship or a qualifying board certification. At least 5 years of experience. A DEA. A West Virginia license, an IMLC letter of qualification, or eligibility for the West Virginia temporary license. Competent in the procedures listed above, including ultrasound-guided work. Credentialing takes 60 days or more.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. No call. 2 to 3 weeks a month, starting December 7, 2026, for 3 to 6 months.
