Pain Management Physician (MD/DO)
Rancho Mirage, CA

Overview:
Our well-established, patient-centered pain management practice in Rancho Mirage is seeking a Pain Management Physician to lead comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients with complex pain conditions. This stable Monday–Thursday role offers competitive, qualifications-based compensation and robust support for advanced interventional and multidisciplinary care.

Position Offers:

  • Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform interventional pain procedures, including epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, and related techniques
  • Conduct thorough chronic pain assessments, including history, physical examination, diagnostic review, and differential diagnosis
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans integrating interventional, pharmacologic, and non-pharmacologic modalities
  • Manage opioid therapy with a strong focus on stewardship, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance
  • Evaluate and perform neuromodulation interventions, such as spinal cord stimulation, including patient selection and follow-up care
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care with physical therapy, psychology, surgery, and other specialties
  • Provide clear, empathetic patient communication and counseling on diagnosis, treatment, and self-management strategies
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and ensure regulatory and billing compliance

Qualifications:

  • Active, current medical licensure (MD/DO) in California
  • Current or eligible DEA registration
  • Fellowship training in Pain Medicine strongly preferred
  • Board Certification in Pain Medicine preferred, or Board Eligible with a clear pathway to certification
