📄 Contract: Locum Assignment | ~6 Months with Possible Extension
🏥 Position Overview
We are seeking an Interventional Pain Management Physician for a locum opportunity in Canandaigua, New York. This role focuses on providing comprehensive outpatient pain management care, including performing a variety of interventional pain procedures in a well-supported clinical environment.
The provider will primarily work in an ambulatory pain clinic with occasional procedural coverage at a nearby procedural site.
👨⚕️ Eligible Provider
✔️ MD / DO – Pain Management Physician
✔️ Pain Medicine Fellowship Required (ACGME accreditation not mandatory)
✔️ Board Certified or Board Eligible
✔️ Active New York Medical License Required
✔️ BLS Certification Required
🔎 Key Responsibilities
🩺 Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic pain conditions
💉 Perform interventional pain management procedures
📋 Develop individualized pain management treatment plans
🤝 Collaborate with clinical staff and specialists to optimize patient outcomes
💻 Document patient care using the EPIC EMR system
💉 Common Procedures Performed
Providers should be comfortable performing:
✔️ Epidural Steroid Injections (Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar)
✔️ Medial Branch Blocks (MBB)
✔️ Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)
✔️ Peripheral Nerve Blocks
✔️ Trigger Point Injections
✔️ Sacroiliac Joint Injections
✔️ Spinal Cord Stimulator Trials
✔️ Genicular Nerve Blocks & RFA
✔️ Intercostal Nerve Blocks
✔️ Piriformis Injections
🏥 Practice Environment
🏥 Outpatient pain management clinic setting
👩⚕️ Dedicated clinical support staff available (Secretary & LPN during clinic days)
🩺 Ambulatory patient population
💻 EPIC Electronic Medical Record system
📅 Schedule & Coverage
📆 Monday – Friday schedule
⏰ 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM shifts
📞 Office call only (after hours & weekends)
📍 Primary coverage at ambulatory pain clinic
📍 Occasional procedural coverage at Clifton Springs OR
⚠️ Important Requirements
📑 Active New York license required prior to start
💻 Recent EPIC experience required
🚑 BLS certification required
