Position Overview
One of our Partners in New York is seeking a fellowship-trained Interventional Pain Management Physician to provide locum tenens coverage in Canandaigua, New York, with procedural support at an affiliated OR location in Clifton Springs.
This assignment offers a stable Monday–Friday outpatient schedule, a collaborative clinical environment, and a strong procedural case mix focused on advanced interventional pain techniques. The provider will work primarily in an ambulatory pain clinic with additional procedural coverage in a nearby operating room setting.

Assignment Highlights
• Coverage Dates: April 20, 2026 – October 18, 2026
• Monday–Friday schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Outpatient interventional pain management practice
• Office call only (after-hours and weekend phone coverage)
• Epic EMR
• Float between Canandaigua ambulatory clinic and Clifton Springs procedural OR suite
• Dedicated LPN and administrative support staff during clinic days
• Wide range of interventional pain procedures performed
• Ambulatory patient population only

Job Responsibilities
• Evaluate and manage patients in an outpatient interventional pain clinic
• Perform fluoroscopy-guided interventional pain procedures
• Participate in after-hours and weekend office call coverage
• Coordinate diagnostic testing and referral care when appropriate
• Collaborate with nursing staff and clinic personnel to ensure efficient patient care
• Participate in departmental quality improvement and peer review activities when required
• Maintain compliance with hospital, state, and federal healthcare regulations
• Provide patient education regarding treatment options and pain management strategies
Skills & Experience
• Fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine
• Minimum 1–2 years post-fellowship experience preferred
• Active New York medical license required
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS certification required
Required Procedures
Providers must be comfortable performing:
• Epidural steroid injections (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)
• Medial branch blocks (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)
• Radiofrequency ablation (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)
• Peripheral nerve blocks
• Trigger point injections
• Sacroiliac joint injections
• Spinal cord stimulator trials
• Genicular nerve blocks and RFA
• Intercostal nerve blocks
• Piriformis injections
