Pain Management Physician BC/BE

Job location: Lorton, VA

Job description:

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pain Management Physician to join our growing multidisciplinary team. This full-time role will provide services across our Lorton and Fredericksburg locations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in interventional pain procedures, a commitment to evidence-based care, and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary treatment. This position focuses on procedural and rehabilitative pain management and is not primarily medication management-based.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic pain conditions, including musculoskeletal, vascular, and post-surgical pain.

  • Perform advanced interventional pain procedures, including but not limited to:

  1. Epidural steroid injections

  2. Facet joint injections

  3. Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)

  4. Spinal cord stimulator trials

  5. Peripheral nerve blocks

  6. Trigger point injections

  • Develop individualized, comprehensive treatment plans incorporating interventional techniques and rehabilitative therapies (PT/OT).

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

  • Completion of an accredited residency in Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), or a related specialty.

  • Fellowship training in Pain Medicine (required).

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pain Medicine.

  • Unrestricted Virginia medical license (or eligibility to obtain).

  • Active DEA registration and controlled substance license.

  • Strong clinical, procedural, and communication skills.

  • Commitment to patient-centered, multidisciplinary care.
