TMC’s Integrative Pain Center is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pain Management Physician (Non-Anesthesia) to join our established outpatient program. We provide comprehensive, multimodal care for acute and chronic pain using advanced procedures, medication optimization, physical therapy collaboration, and behavioral health integration.

You’ll join a collaborative team of pain specialists and APPs dedicated to improving patient function and quality of life without hospital call or inpatient rounding.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient chronic pain evaluations
• Develop multimodal treatment plans including procedures, medication management, PT, and behavioral supports
• Perform and/or coordinate interventional pain procedures
• Collaborate with APPs, physicians, therapists, behavioral health, and support staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinical best practices
• Participate in quality improvement and evidence‑based practice initiatives

Qualifications

To qualify as a Pain Management Physician at TMC, candidates must have:
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Completion of an ACGME‑accredited residency in:
○ Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neurology, or Psychiatry (typical feeder specialties)
• Completion of a Pain Medicine Fellowship (ACGME‑accredited)
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pain Medicine
• Active Arizona medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
• DEA certification
These are standard and expected for a Pain Management Non‑Anesthesia role.

Working Hours

Schedule: Monday–Friday outpatient clinic (no call, no nights, no weekends)

Skills

• Expertise in chronic pain assessment and multimodal management
• Competence in common interventional pain procedures (e.g., epidurals, RF ablation, joint injections)
• Strong decision‑making and diagnostic interpretation
• Collaborative communication across multidisciplinary care teams
• EMR proficiency and documentation accuracy
• Compassionate and patient‑centered approach with an emphasis on functional improvement
