The Cleveland Clinic Akron General Spine and Pain Institute, a multispecialty musculoskeletal and pain medicine group with multiple locations in Northeastern Ohio, is seeking an interventional pain physician to join our rapidly expanding outpatient practice.

Our group is comprised of PM&R and anesthesiology physicians, chiropractors (certified in acupuncture), and advanced practice practitioners (CNPs/PAs).

The physician must be a team player who prioritizes excellent patient care and is able to keep up in a fast-paced environment. They must care deeply about patient outcomes, be comfortable managing acute and chronic pain, all while trying to minimize opioid usage. Some travel between offices is required.

Our work environment is collaborative with excellent support staff and opportunities for continuing education. We have developed a strong referral base within the Cleveland Clinic system. Ample opportunity exists to quickly ramp up your practice.

Generous bonus package is included, and partnership track is available for outstanding candidates. Bonus thresholds are generally met or exceeded within the first 6 months.

Job Responsibilities

Interventional pain procedures, office visits, EMR documentation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would be a physiatrist (PM&R) or anesthesiologist who has successfully completed a pain management fellowship and who is board certified in pain management and has at least 3-5 years of practice experience. Candidates who do not meet these criteria are still encouraged to apply. Familiarity with EPIC EMR and experience with US guided injections, while not required, are highly valued.

Working Hours

M-F, no weekends or evenings. Outpatient setting.
