Board-certified ENT (MD/DO) needed for a 13-week locum tenens assignment at a Level II Trauma Center; Epic EMR experience preferred. Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Board Certification: Required — Otolaryngology / ENT (Board-certified Otolaryngologist)
  • Degree: MD or DO
  • Licensure: Active Nebraska medical license or ability to obtain (Compact license accepted; temporary locum licensing eligibility required)
  • DEA: Required
  • Experience: Post-residency otolaryngology experience welcomed; no minimum years required
  • Malpractice/NPDB: Clean malpractice history required; self-query NPDB report within 30 days
  • Availability: Must confirm availability at time of name clear
  • Skills: Emergency/trauma ENT evaluation, on-call decision-making, surgical ENT procedures, audiogram interpretation coordination

Responsibilities

  • Provide weekend ENT call coverage and respond in person to Trauma and Emergency Department requests
  • Evaluate and manage emergency and trauma-related otolaryngology consults, including head and neck trauma
  • Perform common ENT procedures as required (adenoidectomy, tonsillectomy, tumor/lump excision, urgent airway management)
  • Coordinate care with anesthesia/CRNA and surgical services to ensure safe, timely patient care
  • Document clinical encounters efficiently and accurately in Epic EMR
  • Support continuity of coverage to maintain reliable 24/7 ENT availability for the trauma center
