Excellent Locum to Permanent Otolaryngology opportunity in Iowa for a Board-Certified ENT Physician seeking full-spectrum practice in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This full-time position offers a balanced schedule with dedicated clinic hours, OR time, and shared call coverage.
Enjoy a strong referral base serving Central Iowa communities with a robust daily clinic volume of 30+ patients. Practice includes comprehensive ENT services with access to imaging, lab, pharmacy, and procedural support. Teaching opportunities are available for physicians interested in academic involvement.
This is an ideal role for an experienced ENT looking for long-term stability in a collaborative, well-supported healthcare environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform full-spectrum otolaryngology procedures and surgeries
• Manage inpatient consults and admissions
• Participate in shared call schedule
• See 30+ patients per clinic day (15-minute appointment slots)
• Coordinate care with nursing and ancillary staff (1:1 support)
• Document encounters using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications
• Active Iowa Medical License or IMLC eligibility
• Full-time availability (1.0 FTE)
• Experienced ENT physician required
• Clean malpractice and background history
• NPDB report (within required timeframe)
Working Hours
• 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• 36 Patient Contact Hours Weekly
• OR time scheduled based on availability
• Call included in rotation
• Weekend coverage as needed
