  • Position: Locum Tenens Otolaryngologist (ENT Physician)
  • Location: Staten Island, NY 10310
  • Healthcare Setting: Academic Level I Trauma Center
  • Start Date: April 1, 2026
  • End Date: June 27, 2026
  • Employment Type: Travel contract (locum tenens)
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week; 5 shifts per week; 8-hour days
  • Call Coverage: Flexible 24-hour at-home call (7am–7am) or night call (5pm–7am); provider comes in as needed
  • Patient Population: Adult and pediatric ENT patients (pediatric volume ? 20%)
  • EMR System: Meditech
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $7,930 - $8,500
  • Travel & Lodging: Provided (up to $1,000/week)

Otolaryngologist Job Requirements

  • Active New York medical license
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as an Otolaryngologist or ENT Physician
  • Experience treating both adult and pediatric ENT cases
  • Fellowship training not required
  • Temporary privileges available for expedited onboarding

ENT Physician Responsibilities

  • Provide ENT consults for in-house patients, including floors and ED post-op follow-ups
  • Respond to call-backs and deliver scheduled ENT coverage
  • Perform a full range of otolaryngology procedures, including:
    • Epistaxis control
    • Abscess drainage
    • Facial trauma repair
    • Tonsillectomy/Adenoidectomy
    • Tracheostomy
    • Sinus surgery
    • Head & Neck procedures
  • Take patients to the OR for emergent ENT cases (no routine block time; emergent cases only)
  • Collaborate with hospital staff, including 24/7 anesthesia and surgical PA support overnight
  • Participate in emergency department (ED) consults as required
  • Share responsibility for scheduling OR cases
