Join Our Team as a Locum - Physician - Otolaryngology in Kearney, NE

Are you a dedicated ENT specialist seeking a flexible locum opportunity to make a meaningful impact? We are currently looking for a Board-Certified Otolaryngologist to provide vital coverage at a Level II Trauma Center. This role offers the chance to support critical hospital services over weekends, ensuring uninterrupted care for patients while enhancing your professional portfolio.

In this position, you will be responsible for ENT call coverage, performing essential procedures such as adenoidectomy, tonsillectomy, lump or tumor removal, and audiograms. You will collaborate with a supportive team including anesthesia, CRNA, and surgery staff, utilizing the EPIC electronic medical record system. Your expertise will help maintain the hospital’s Level II Trauma Center status by providing reliable coverage during scheduled times.

Required Skills:
  • Board Certification in Otolaryngology (MD or DO)
  • Valid NE State Medical License or ability to obtain one quickly (or compact license)
  • DEA certification for prescribing medications
  • Experience with procedures including adenoidectomy, tonsillectomy, lump/tumor removal, audiograms
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
  • Ability to work effectively in a hospital setting during assigned shifts and call duties

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience working in a Level II Trauma Center
  • Familiarity with hospital protocols and multidisciplinary collaboration
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO)
  • Board-Certified in Otolaryngology
  • At least 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in ENT

Other Requirements:
  • Availability from December 24, 2026, 7 a.m. to December 28, 2026, 7 a.m.
  • Must be able to obtain NE medical licensure within a few months
  • Willingness to travel from your current location (preferably from Kearney, NE or surrounding areas)
  • Reliable access to transportation and accommodation arrangements, with preferred lodging at Candlewood Suites
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care during scheduled shifts and on-call duties
