Full-Time Locum Otolaryngologist (ENT)
Des Moines, IA | Inpatient + Clinic | $223/Hour | Call Coverage | Teaching Opportunity
Start Date: Upon credentialing
Setting: Inpatient + Outpatient (Clinic + OR)
Schedule: Full-time | 36 patient contact hours/week
Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Call: Participation in hospital ENT call schedule
Position Overview
A well-respected health system in Central Iowa is seeking a Board Certified Otolaryngologist for a full-time locum-to-perm opportunity. This position includes a blend of inpatient and clinic-based coverage, with a consistent weekday schedule, full ENT procedural scope, and a collaborative team environment. A teaching component is also available for those with an academic interest.

Support: 1:1 physician-to-nurse ratio + ancillary staff

Onsite Services: Lab, imaging, and pharmacy

Patient Population: Central Iowa, including Boone County, Indianola, Pleasant Hill

Candidate Requirements
Board Certified in Otolaryngology – Required
Active Iowa License or IMLC – Required
Full-Time Availability – Required
Minimum 2–3 years ENT experience – Preferred
Comfortable with clinic, OR, and call responsibilities
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $223.00
Overtime Rate: $335.00/hour
24-Hour On Call: $1,624.00
Call Back: $335.00/hour
Malpractice Insurance: Included
Travel & Lodging: Covered
Licensing & Credentialing Reimbursement: Provided
