- Other Details: A board-certified Otolaryngologist (MD/DO) with a minimum of 3 years of experience is needed for full-time or part-time locum tenens coverage due to provider turnover. The role involves 24-hour community call coverage across three nearby hospitals, focusing on inpatient consults and emergency department cases, with no rounding responsibilities. Available shifts include August 18–25, September 15–22, October 13–20, and November 24–December 1, all from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. the following day. The average call volume is approximately 10 per 24 hours, with expected callback hours ranging from 2–4. The provider must hold an active New York medical license and will be credentialed at multiple sites. Responsibilities include ENT-type emergency surgeries, with trauma experience required due to one of the sites being a Level 2 trauma center. Support staff is available, and the setting includes both inpatient and outpatient care with Epic as the EMR. No supervision of residents or advanced practice providers is required. Temporary or full privileges are available, and the patient population includes both adults and pediatrics.

Job Responsibilities
* Respond to inpatient consults and emergency department calls across three community hospitals.
* Perform ENT-related emergency surgeries as needed.
* Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR.
* Coordinate care with ED and inpatient support staff.
Qualifications
* Active and unrestricted New York medical license.
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
* Able to be credentialed at multiple hospital sites.
* No supervision responsibilities required.
Working Hours
* Available dates: August 18–25, September 15–22, October 13–20, November 24–December 1.
* Full-time or part-time availability accepted.
* No rounding required; consults only.
* Average of 10 calls per 24-hour shift with 2–4 callback hours.
Skills
* Experience in managing cases at trauma centers (Level 2 trauma experience preferred).
* Comfortable working independently across multiple facilities.
* Familiarity with Epic EMR.
* Strong communication and clinical decision-making in high-acuity environments.
