Otolaryngology Locums – $280–$300/hr | Flexible Schedule | Start Aug 2025

A respected medical center in Iowa is seeking a Board-Certified Otolaryngologist (ENT) for a locum tenens opportunity beginning August 18, 2025. The position offers a mix of clinic, surgical, and 24/7 call coverage. The facility is looking for a provider who can commit to at least 2 weeks per month on an ongoing basis.

Opportunity Highlights:

• Start Date: August 18, 2025

• Commitment: Minimum 2 weeks per month (ongoing need)

• Schedule:

  • Clinic: Monday–Thursday (8 AM–5 PM), Friday (8 AM–3 PM)

  • OR/Procedure Day: Fridays

  • Call: 24/7 coverage preferred during scheduled weeks

• Setting: Clinic, inpatient, and OR

• Clinic Volume: 15–25 patients/day

• Support: 2:1 nursing and ancillary staff

• Exam Rooms: 3 per provider, plus procedure rooms

• EMR: Epic

• Onsite Services: Imaging, lab, pharmacy, and audiology

Responsibilities:

• Provide ENT care in both inpatient and outpatient settings

• Take 24/7 call for established patients, ER, and consults

• Perform ENT procedures and surgeries

Common Procedures:

• Ear cleaning and acute ENT care

• Basic ENT surgeries (e.g., tubes and tonsils)

• Nasopharyngeal scopes

• Biopsies and direct laryngoscopies

Candidate Requirements:

• Board Certified in Otolaryngology – Required

• Fellowship Trained – Required

• Active IA Medical License or Active IMLC (with LOQ) – Required

• Minimum 5 years of experience – Preferred

• Available at least 2 weeks/month starting Aug 18, 2025 – Required
