JOB OVERVIEW
  • Job Title: Physician Pediatric Otolaryngology (ENT)
  • Job Type: Locum Tenens (Part-Time)

  • Service Setting: Hospital / Clinic
  • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call
  • Coverage Period: January 5, 2026 Ongoing
  • Clinical Shift Schedule: OR 07:3015:00 or 08:0017:00; Clinic 08:3015:30
  • On-Call Shift Schedule: Daily call during shift, extends into evening (ends midnight or 6p)
  • Call Type: In-House + Telephone
  • Call Response Time: 30 minutes COVERAGE DATES
  • Starting January 5, 2026 ongoing, part-time coverage

PATIENT INFORMATION
  • Patient Demographics: Pediatrics
  • Patient Volume/Census: 1520 patients/day
  • Rounding: Included
  • Case Mix: Tonsillectomy, adenoids, tubes, frenulectomy, abscess drainage, myringoplasty, laryngoscopy

FACILITY INFORMATION
  • Trauma Level: Level I
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Specialty Backup Available: Pediatric ENT team (2 surgeons, 2 PAs)
  • Reason for Coverage: New position / PTO support

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
  • Temporary Privileges Available: Yes
  • Credentialing Timeline: ~90 days

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Licenses: Active Illinois license (will accept candidates needing to obtain one)
  • Board: BC/BE in Otolaryngology (Pediatric focus preferred)
  • DEA: Required
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year NOTES
  • Providers perform clinic/OR work while simultaneously covering call.
  • Call responsibilities extend into evening hours.
