Maxim Government Services is searching for a qualified Optometrist to perform basic eye exam services for an inmate population. Services are required Full Time, indefinitely, in various DOC (Department of Corrections) sites (listed below) throughout the Central VA Region.

Details

• Full Time (40 hours/week)
• Basic duties – mostly eye exams
• Flexible scheduling – facility lets them know inmates need to be seen and Opt. will schedule when they want to visit that facility
• Must have their own equipment (costs are reimbursable by agency)
  • The optometrist has a portable tripod that has the basic equipment needed to perform the eye exam (the phoropter) plus a tonometer and lensometer
• Must be willing to work in the Central Region Facilities
  • All within an hour of each other (listed below)
• Indefinite assignment!!!
• WEEKLY Pay
• Mileage compensation and hotel reimbursement, IF multiple days in a row are required in outlier sites throughout the Central Region
• 1099 pay structure
• Covered under agencies Umbrella Insurance Policy for liability/malpractice purposes
