Hello,

Amergis is currently seeking a Licensed Dentist to join a multidisciplinary dentistry team in Illinois on a part-time contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for a dentist looking for a weekday schedule in a structured clinical environment serving individuals with developmental disabilities.

Compensation

  • Position Type: Local Contract
  • Pay Rate: $18,400/monthly

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dental cleanings and polishing
  • Diagnose and treat conditions of the oral cavity
  • Extract teeth as clinically indicated
  • Deliver general dental services as required
  • Consult with healthcare staff regarding patient treatment and care plans
  • Collaborate with dental specialists on treatment planning
  • Provide care to individuals with developmental disabilities

Assignment Details

  • Position: Dentist
  • Openings: 1
  • Schedule: 2–3 weekdays per week (business hours only)
  • Hours per Week: 24
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: August 3, 2026
  • Work Setting: On-site
  • Orientation: On-site
  • Client Interview: Required (Microsoft Teams)
  • Charting System: None
  • Timekeeping System: MaxView Timeclock

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD)
  • Active Illinois Dental License in good standing
  • One year of dental experience preferred
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray as applicable)
  • Current health certificate per state or contract requirements
  • Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

Position Summary

The Dentist will play an integral role in the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing oral health education of patients. Responsibilities include providing general dental services and collaborating with medical, nursing, and supervisory staff to ensure comprehensive patient care. All duties are governed by applicable federal, state, and professional standards.
