The Waterford School District is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and skilled School Psychologist who is passionate about supporting student success. This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting difference by addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs in a supportive school community.

You will work closely with educators, families, administrators, and community partners to remove barriers to learning and help every student reach their full potential.

What You’ll Do

As a School Psychologist, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to support student learning

  • Identify barriers to achievement and recommend effective instructional strategies

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine special education eligibility

  • Support individualized instruction and intervention planning

  • Collect and analyze data, including systematic observations, for students facing challenges

  • Participate on school support and crisis response teams

  • Provide crisis intervention and consultation for students and staff when needed

  • Coordinate referrals and collaborate with community agencies

  • Stay current on best practices and developments in education and school psychology

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • Michigan Department of Education Certification as a School Psychologist

  • Experience with assessment administration and interpretation

  • Strong background in data-driven decision-making

  • Knowledge of Positive Behavior Supports and universal behavioral strategies

  • Working knowledge of MARSE and special education law

  • Ability to develop meaningful curriculum modifications and accommodations

  • Proven ability to build trusting, collaborative relationships with staff, families, and community partners
