Are you an Audiologist looking for a flexible Contract opportunity where your work truly makes a difference? Cass Lake Indian Health Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Audiologist to join our care team on a contract basis. This is a great chance to provide essential hearing healthcare services in a supportive, patient-centered environment—Could be 5 or just 2–3 days per week.

About the Opportunity: As our part-time Audiologist, you’ll be an important resource for patients across the lifespan—helping to assess, diagnose, and manage hearing and balance disorders. You’ll work closely with primary care and ENT providers to ensure patients receive timely and accurate evaluations and treatment plans.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Open to full-time or part-time (flexible scheduling based on clinic needs)
  • Setting: Outpatient clinic within Cass Lake IHS
  • Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time 1099 contract
  • Length: Ongoing with potential for extension

Indian Preference Exercised:

Prairie Band, LLC is subject to Title 22: Employment Code of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. In accordance with Title 22, this position is designated as a TIER 2 position. Preference will be given to individuals to the extent required pursuant to Section 22-2-4(B).

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive audiologic evaluations, including air/bone conduction, speech testing, tympanometry, and otoacoustic emissions
Interpret test results and develop treatment or referral plans based on findings
Fit and program hearing aids as appropriate; provide patient education and follow-up care
Document findings and recommendations in the electronic health record (EHR)
Collaborate with medical staff for coordinated patient care
Educate patients and families on hearing health and hearing aid use
Participate in occasional community outreach or screenings as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Master’s or Doctoral degree (Au.D.) in Audiology from an accredited program
Current, active Audiologist license in any U.S. state
Minimum 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience preferred
Prior experience in IHS, tribal, or rural health settings a plus
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Working Hours

Monday - Friday 8-5
8 hour days
no weekends
no holidays
40 hours per week, would be willing to do Part time 2-3 days a week

Skills

Must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
Must be Board Eligible or Certified, Board certification in Family Medicine
Must have current BLS, Basic Life Support certification
Certification of Education - copy of diploma or transcripts
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program
DEA license and eligibility to prescribe medication
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in family practice
may require a current drivers license
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Strong diagnostic, clinical, organizational and time-management skills
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Must be a US citizen living primarily in the United States
Willingness to comply with all state and federal regulations regarding medical practice
must be willing to undergo a federal background check
