Position: Locum Tenens – Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Start Date: ASAP | Ongoing Assignment
Shift: Day shift only | No call

Position Overview:

Join a dedicated team serving the homeless and underserved population in the heart of Atlanta. This is an outpatient-only role in a clinic environment with strong mid-level support and a mission-driven approach to care.

Responsibilities Include:

• Seeing 10–12 adult patients per day
• Performing pelvic exams, pap smears, and employment physicals
• Occasional coverage in HIV care and Integrated Behavioral Health (training provided)
• No inpatient care, no in-house codes, no ED backup
• Use of EPIC EMR
• No supervision of other providers required
• Defibrillator available on site

Facility Details:

• Public clinic serving medically underserved, immigrant, and homeless populations
• Support from 6 experienced mid-level providers
• Collaborative and inclusive care model
• Patient age range: Primarily 18–65, with some geriatric and occasional pediatric patients

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (IM preferred)
• Active Georgia medical license & DEA – REQUIRED
• BLS Certification – REQUIRED
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience post-residency
• Comfortable with outpatient procedures listed above
• Must be local – travel/lodging not reimbursed (mileage reimbursed up to $50/day only)
• Experience with underserved and homeless populations – Highly Preferred
• Experience in clinical supervision/administration – Highly Preferred
