As a Hospital Psychologist, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating psychological issues among patients in the hospital. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting psychological assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status.
- Developing personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to implement these plans.
- Providing individual and group therapy sessions to address various mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse.
- Offering crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing acute psychiatric distress.
- Educating patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Participating in case conferences and treatment team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop holistic care plans.
- Documenting patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and staff training programs aimed at enhancing mental health services within the hospital.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Psychologist in the state of WA
