As a Hospital Psychologist, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating psychological issues among patients in the hospital. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting psychological assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status.
  • Developing personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to implement these plans.
  • Providing individual and group therapy sessions to address various mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse.
  • Offering crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing acute psychiatric distress.
  • Educating patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
  • Participating in case conferences and treatment team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop holistic care plans.
  • Documenting patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Contributing to quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and staff training programs aimed at enhancing mental health services within the hospital.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Psychologist in the state of WA
