Full-time or will consider part-time if willing to work 10-15 shifts/month. Regular daily schedule is M-F 8a-5p. Regular office schedule is M-F 8a-4:30p.
Need a provider who is willing to fit into schedule including Clinic, OR, Rounds & Call.
Call approximately 1:4 and varies from single days to blocks of up to 3-4 days.
25-30 patients per day in clinic. Will likely start out at a lesser volume.
Currently working in clinic are 3 Ortho docs. All operate and do clinic. 2 additional Ortho docs do clinic only.
Hospitalists both admit and consult on the patient (not just consult).
Operating Equipment used in the OR: Primarily Smith & Nephew; however, there are some others, as well. There are company reps available during cases.
They have 2 Surgical PAs for Ortho in the OR. They also have RNFAs on the team.
Both AN and CRNAs are used.
ORTHO will mostly do their own rounds. At times they will cover for a surgeon if they are off.
Typically ORTHO is called for tough cases or cases that need immediate surgical care.
BC/BE, BLS, DEA, NY license
New grads not acceptable. Autonomy is necessary.
PEDS not required. They do treat PEDS in the office but it’s a provider preference.
Procedures:
General Ortho with trauma.
Presently have a need for shoulder arthroscopy procedures.; Requirements: BC/BE:
