Job description

Total Joint Specialist Hip & Knee Arthroplasty | Independent Physician-Owned Group | Utah County, Utah

The Opportunity Primary arthroplasty surgeon of a founding orthopedic section within Utah's largest independent, physician-owned multispecialty group. Utah has the highest orthopedic demand index in the nation. The market is undersupplied, and the dominant competitor is a health system.

Compensation is designed to accelerate well beyond the Year 1 guarantee. A 12-month partnership track unlocks ancillary income streams, ownership participation, and uncapped production — substantially increasing total compensation at partnership.

Clinical Scope

  • Primary and revision total hip and knee arthroplasty — conventional and MIS approaches
  • Pre-op optimization and post-op management with dedicated surgical APPs
  • Imaging through four owned centers

Qualifications

  • MD/DO — BC/BE Orthopedic Surgery
  • Fellowship in adult reconstruction / total joint arthroplasty

Compensation

  • Base salary Year 1 - BOE
  • 12-month partnership track — ancillary income and ownership participation at partner
  • Uncapped production above threshold — 75th %ile = ~$160K–$220K above base
  • Employer-paid malpractice with prior acts coverage included
  • Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, CME, retirement, relocation

Differentiators

  • Physician-owned — not a health system, not private equity
  • 200+ PCP referral sources and five urgent care locations
  • Highest state-level orthopedic demand index in the nation
  • Prior acts (tail) coverage provided as a recruiting benefit
