  • Low-volume general Orthopedic Surgery call
  • Credentialing possible in approximately five days
  • Private hospital-owned apartment provided onsite ###
Assignment Details Coverage: October 13 at 7:00 a.m.–October 16, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. Schedule: 24-hour beeper call Setting: Inpatient and Emergency Department Call Population: Unassigned patients Response Time: 20 minutes Expected Consults: Approximately 0–3 per day ED Visits: Approximately 0–2 per day Surgical Volume: Approximately 0–2 cases per day EMR: Meditech Expanse Credentialing: Approximately five days Temporary Privileges: Available Lodging: Private hospital-owned apartment with cable and Wi-Fi ### Requirements Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon Active and unrestricted North Carolina medical license Active North Carolina DEA registered to a North Carolina address Current ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS Current Medicaid and Medicare credentialing Active PECOS enrollment Required vaccination status Ability to remain within 20 minutes of the hospital while on call NPI number required with presentation ### Clinical Details Provide general Orthopedic Surgery call coverage Evaluate Emergency Department and inpatient consultations Perform closed reductions and admit patients when indicated Treat wrist, ankle, and hip fractures Perform incision and drainage procedures Stabilize long-bone trauma for transfer Required scope includes arthroscopy, joint replacement and revision, hand surgery, tendon repair, peripheral nerve surgery, and spine procedures No APP supervision or teaching responsibilities
