- Call Only - Beeper Call
- Coverage: 24-hour call shifts, 7:00 AM-7:00 AM (call only)
- Call dates:
- 11/27-11/29, ending 11/30 @ 07:00
- 12/19-12/22, ending 12/23 @ 07:00
- Duties: Cover ED call on a rotating basis; come in only if ED requests a consult; typical “bread and butter” ortho; complex/sick patients are transferred
- Case mix: Fractures, sports, general orthopaedics; total joints; no spine
- Team/support: Orthopaedic PAs, full surgical staff; General Surgeons manage wound care clinic; fully digital radiology
- EMR System: MediTech
- Call Response Time Required: 20 Min Call Ratio: ON Call only for duration of assignment
- Avg Call # Per 24 Hour: Phone Consults: 0-5 Patients Seen: 1-2 Admissions: 0-1
- Requirements: Active ABOS, Active Michigan medical license, MI CDS, and MI DEA
