  • November 27–29, 2026, ending November 30 at 7:00 AM
  • December 19–22, 2026, ending December 23 at 7:00 AM
• Call Type: Beeper
• Call Response Time: 20 minutes
• Call Ratio: On-call only for duration of assignment
• Facility Lodging: Preferred if available

• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery with active ABOS certification — REQUIRED
• Active Michigan Medical License — REQUIRED
• Michigan CDS — REQUIRED
• Michigan DEA — REQUIRED
• Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship: Not specified

• NBPAS Board Certification is NOT accepted
• Board certification must be through ABOS

• IMLC Accepted
• Active Michigan licensure is required for the assignment.

• Provide Emergency Department orthopedic call coverage
• Consults are requested by the Emergency Department as needed
• Typically bread-and-butter orthopedic cases
• Sick or complicated patients are transferred to other facilities
• Case types include:
  • Fractures
  • Sports injuries
  • General Orthopedics
  • Total Joint cases
• No Spine

• Trauma Level: Level III
• EMR: MediTech
• Patients Per Shift: Varies
• Admissions: Required
• Rounding: Assigned/Unassigned patients
• Efficient, flexible OR with block time assignments
• Orthopedic PAs available
• Full surgical staff
• General Surgeons manage the wound care clinic
• Completely digital radiology department

• Must be comfortable providing 24-hour orthopedic call
• Must respond to orthopedic consults within 20 minutes
• Total Joint and general orthopedic experience preferred
• Physician only comes onsite when the Emergency Department requests an orthopedic consultation
