A Level II Trauma Center in Arizona seeks a Board-Certified, Fellowship-trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon for an ongoing locum tenens engagement. This role offers consistent call coverage at a high-volume trauma facility and is ideal for an experienced orthopedic trauma specialist.
Position highlights
- Location: Arizona (Level II Trauma Center)
- Coverage type: Ongoing locum tenens to fill schedule gaps
- Coverage need: Approximately 7 shifts per month
- Credentialing timeline: ~60 days
Schedule
- 24-hour out-of-house call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
- Two clinic mornings during assigned coverage
Clinical scope
- Manage a wide range of orthopedic trauma cases, including emergency and complex surgical interventions
- Expected experience: complex fracture management, pelvic and acetabular fractures, general orthopedic trauma and emergency procedures
- Must be able to respond within 30 minutes while on call
Support
- Daily Advanced Practice Provider (APP) coverage from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Requirements
- Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship trained in Orthopedic Trauma
- Active Arizona medical license
- Active DEA registration
