Locum Tenens | August Start
WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking a BC/BE Orthopedic Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment beginning August. This opportunity offers 24-hour call-only coverage with approximately one weekend block per month, making it an excellent fit for surgeons seeking a predictable call schedule while supporting an established orthopedic service.

Current Coverage Needs
- 7:00 AM August 7 – 7:00 AM August 10
- 7:00 AM September 28 – 7:00 AM October 1
This assignment primarily consists of call coverage with a manageable patient volume. Providers can expect an average of two surgical cases per day along with approximately six new consults daily. Overnight activity is generally minimal, particularly after 10:00 PM.
The practice treats adult patients only and utilizes Epic as its electronic medical record.
Candidate Requirements
- BC or truly BE in Orthopedic Surgery
- Current BLS certification
- Comfortable providing 24-hour orthopedic call coverage
- Strong experience managing orthopedic trauma and general orthopedic surgical cases
- IMLC and Letters of Qualification (LOQ) candidates are welcome
