Orthopedic Surgery Opportunity in Brattleboro, VT
Position Details
Full-time Staff Orthopedic Surgeon
Join an established orthopedic service line
Comprehensive musculoskeletal care across the continuum
Rotating call schedule required
Not open to locum or locum-to-perm candidates
Not accepting visa candidates
Candidates must reside within one (1) hour of the practice location
Position may not be held in conjunction with another job
Clinical Responsibilities
Evaluate and diagnose orthopedic conditions through physical exams, medical history review, and diagnostic imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT)
Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing surgical and non-surgical approaches
Perform a broad range of orthopedic surgical procedures including joint replacements, fracture repair, and arthroscopy
Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care
Collaborate with primary care providers, rehabilitation specialists, physical and occupational therapists
Participate in rotating on-call coverage including weekends as scheduled
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams
Apply evidence-based practices and stay current with advancements in orthopedic surgery
Participate in continuing medical education and professional development
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary range: $300,000 – $360,000
Compensation determined by experience, education, internal equity, and market factors

Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery (Board Eligible candidates must provide graduation date)
Clean malpractice history
Most recent NPDB Self-Query report (within 30 days) required at presentation
Active Vermont medical license required
DEA registration (must be obtained prior to start)
CPR certification for Healthcare Providers (must be obtained prior to start)
