Medical Center is looking for an Orthopedic Surgery Physician to fill a need!


Schedule & Job Responsibilities

  • We are strictly looking for locum tenens coverage for On Call shifts:
  1. Wednesday, August 5 starting at 7am - Monday, August 10th at 7 am
  2. Monday, October 26th starting at 7am - Friday, November 6 at 7 am
  • This would include inpatient and call coverage at both Cedar Falls and Waterloo Medical Center, no clinic responsibilities.

  • Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: 10-20 for both locations
  • Demographics/Patient Population: All ages
  • EMR: Epic Enterprise

Procedures offered in the practice:

  • History and physical exam admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients of all ages to correct or treat various conditions, illnesses, and injuries of the extremities, spine, and associated structures by medical, surgical, and physical means.
  • Such conditions include, but are not limited to, trauma, infections, tumors, metabolic disturbances of the musculoskeletal system, deformities, injuries, and degenerative diseases of the spine, hands, feet, knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow, and include primary and secondary muscular problems and the effects of central or peripheral nervous system lesions of the musculoskeletal system.
  • Orthopedic surgeons may provide care to patients in the intensive care setting in conformance with unit policies.
  • They may also assess, stabilize, and determine the disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services.

Submission Requirements
  • Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery - [REQUIRED]
  • Active IA License or Active IMLC (please upload LOQ at time of name clear) - [REQUIRED]
  • Fellowship Trained (Orthopedic Surgery) - [REQUIRED]
  • Must be experienced - [REQUIRED]
  • Must be able to cover the 2 blocks of shifts above - [REQUIRED] - please note at time of name clear
Clean Malpractice/Background History - [REQUIRED] - please upload NPDB (must be pulled within the last month or within 90 days)
