- Other details: The facility is looking for a provider to cover 2nd Call / Backup call only. Seeking immediate coverage for general orthopedic call, covering two hospitals. The case mix typically includes fractures, ED consults, and inpatient consults, with phone calls coming from after-hours services and nursing units. The call will be pager-based with a 30-minute response time, and the provider will need the flexibility to go on-site as needed. Calls can vary, and no PA will be assigned to assist.

Job Responsibilities
* Handle cases such as fractures, ED consults, and inpatient consults.
* Respond to phone calls from after-hours services and nursing units.
* Maintain a pager call system with a 30-minute response time.
* Be available to go on-site as needed for urgent cases.
* Manage orthopedic consultations and ensure timely, high-quality care.
Qualifications
* Experience in general orthopedic care, including fractures and consults.
* Ability to manage call coverage independently.
* No trauma designation required.
* Must be available for on-site visits as needed.
Working Hours
* 30-minute response time required for calls.
* Must be available after-hours and weekends as needed.
Skills
* Excellent communication skills for coordinating with after-hours services and nursing units.
* Ability to work independently and manage orthopedic consultations efficiently.
