A well-established orthopedic practice in Mason City, Iowa is seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon for locum coverage with potential for ongoing assignments.

🏥 Practice Setting

• Trauma Level III hospital
• Clinic + Surgical + Call coverage
• EMR: Epic
• Collaborative team environment
• Serves a large regional patient population

⏰ Schedule Details

Clinic:

• Monday – Friday
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Call:

• 24-hour call coverage
• Call overage and follow-up clinic required
• Includes inpatient rounding, ED consults, and OR cases

🔎 Responsibilities

The provider must be comfortable with:

✔ Inpatient rounding (post-op patients)
✔ ED and inpatient consults
✔ Surgical cases in the OR
✔ Trauma and orthopedic call coverage
✔ Supervising Advanced Practice Providers

🛠 Required Procedures & Skills

Candidates must be able to perform:

• Total hip replacement
• Total knee replacement
• Total shoulder replacement
• Hand and wrist procedures
• Knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot surgeries
• Trauma injuries & fracture care
• Sports medicine cases
• General orthopedic surgical procedures
