  • Other details: The facility which is stroke-certified and trauma level 3 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed. There are an average of 3 patients per shift and 3 beds in the department. The full-time orthopedic provider will work a 7 on, 7 off schedule, with 3 days dedicated to clinic and 2 OR days based on procedural volume. Call coverage will be required every other week, shared with another locum provider for both call and clinic responsibilities. The clinic will have full support staff, and anesthesia will be available for procedures. The provider will see 20-25 patients per day in the clinic, with minimal call-back during call shifts, as most cases will be admitted to hospitalists and covered the following day.

Job Responsibilities

* Provide orthopedic care in the clinic and operating room
* Manage 3 days of clinic and 2 OR days per week based on procedural volume
* Provide call coverage every other week, sharing responsibility with another locum provider
* See 20-25 patients per day in the clinic
* Handle minimal call-back during call shifts, with most cases admitted to hospitalists
* Collaborate with clinic staff and anesthesia for patient care

Qualifications

* Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
* Active medical license in the applicable state
* Experience in orthopedic surgery and outpatient care
* Ability to manage both clinic and surgical responsibilities
* Comfortable with call coverage duties

Working Hours

* 7 on, 7 off schedule
* 3 clinic days and 2 OR days per week, based on procedural volume
* Call coverage every other week

* Strong clinical and surgical skills in orthopedics
