🚨 Immediate locum opportunity for an experienced Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon, a Level II Trauma Center in Tacoma, Washington. This assignment offers excellent compensation, strong APP support, and ongoing monthly coverage for physicians seeking high-acuity trauma work with flexibility.
✨ Assignment Highlights
🏥 Level II Trauma Center
🗓 Coverage: Up to 2 weeks per month
⏳ Duration: 6–9 months (ongoing need)
🩺 ER coverage 24/7 with dedicated PA support
🏥 Mix of Hospital + Outpatient Clinic
🧑⚕️ 3 outpatient clinic mornings per week (Mon–Fri, days TBD)
📊 Patient volume varies: 0–7 cases per day
🧠 EMR: EPIC
🔬 Clinical Scope
Full spectrum of orthopedic trauma cases
Excludes complex pelvic cases
ER trauma coverage
Inpatient orthopedic consults
Outpatient follow-up and clinic care

✅ Candidate Requirements
Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon
Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship preferred
Minimum 5 years Level II trauma experience (required)
Washington license preferred or IMLC with LOQ in hand
BLS & DEA required (can be obtained after offer)
Clean malpractice history strongly preferred
Immediate availability at name clear
