This role is ideal for a generalist who enjoys variety, wishes to avoid big-city burnout, and wants to practice where quality of life is unmatched.
Position, Compensation & Organizational Highlights
- General Orthopedic Surgery position with full-spectrum practice needs
- Strong community demand: one physician recently left + two nearing retirement
- Broad case mix - trauma, joints, sports, hand, general orthopedics
- Ideal candidate: generalist able to do "a bit of everything" and not overly niche
- Trauma interest welcome - access to OR required for timely cases
- Typical weekly structure: 4.5-day workweek with Friday half-day
- OR time: 2-2.5 days/week | Clinic: 16-18 patients/day
- Annual case volume historically ranges 263-465 cases
- Outreach required: 1 day, twice monthly
- Call: 8-10 days/month with 1-2 weekends; shared with private practice surgeon
- Strong team: 3 orthopedic surgeons + 2 PAs; excellent OR team support
- Robotics available in nearby Powell (MAKO) | Open to exploring a robot locally
