Job description Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina – Orthopedic Surgeon (Total Joint Focus) Key Requirements
  • Availability: Position open due to retirement; immediate need
  • Training: Orthopedic Surgery residency completion required
  • Certification: BE/BC in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Fellowship: Joint Replacement / Adult Reconstruction fellowship preferred
  • Licensure: Must obtain North Carolina medical license (or be eligible)
  • Work Site: Hospital privileges at a regional medical center within a 9-hospital physician-led health system
  • Schedule: Shared call
Role Summary Seeking a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with a focus on joint replacement surgery to meet a strong community need. Position is within the Orthopedic Service Line, a large network of orthopedic surgeons across eastern North Carolina. Position Highlights

  • Clinic co-located with a rehab department (7 therapists, 5 therapy assistants, in-ground therapy pool)
  • Robust total joint program with designated orthopedic & total joint floor
  • Strong built-in referral network
  • Supported by Orthopedic Service Line + orthopedic trauma team
  • Comprehensive specialty support (cardiology, nephrology, general surgery, urology, critical care, wound care)
