Our client, a healthcare provider based in Bronx, NY, is seeking a Physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) with a focus on Workers Compensation and injury-related care. This in-office role involves assessing and treating patients with musculoskeletal injuries from workplace or motor vehicle accidents, developing rehabilitation plans, performing interventional procedures, and collaborating with care teams to support recovery and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities as the Physician Workers Compensation (PMR):
- Evaluation & Diagnosis: Perform thorough physical assessments to diagnose work-related injuries and chronic pain conditions.
- Treatment & Pain Management: Create personalized treatment plans, administer injections, and prescribe medications to improve function and mobility.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with clinical, legal, and Workers Compensation regulations.
- Patient Education & Support: Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, exercises, and lifestyle changes to support recovery.
- Collaboration & Case Coordination: Work with specialists and care teams to deliver comprehensive treatment and manage Workers Compensation or No-Fault cases.
- Education: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited university required.
- Licensure: Must hold an active and unrestricted New York State medical license and be a licensed acupuncturist.
- Certification: Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) preferred, with Workers Compensation authorization required.
- Experience: 5+ years in a clinical setting managing musculoskeletal or injury-related conditions, with strong preference for experience treating work-related or motor vehicle injuries.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in EMR systems and documentation workflows, with knowledge of Workers Compensation and No-Fault regulatory requirements.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong communication, diagnostic, and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of interventional pain management techniques, injury rehabilitation, and legal aspects of occupational medicine.
