Orthopedic Surgery Locums Job in Northern Illinois | ASAP Start

Northern Illinois facility seeking full-time Orthopedic Surgery locum tenens coverage starting ASAP. The client is seeking 1-2 candidates with active Illinois licenses to cover their full-time clinic, surgery + call coverage schedule starting immediately + ongoing. The client is ideally seeking candidates that are willing to commit to coverage for a minimum of 120 days and are also open to candidates interested in a locum tenens to perm placement.

Dates of coverage needed:
* Seeking full-time clinic, scheduled surgery day + night/weekend call coverage starting ASAP
* Willing to split FT schedule between two physicians (must have a minimum of 2 weeks/month of consistent availability)
* Weekdays are spent in the clinic setting or doing scheduled surgeries from 8A-4P, many week days are split in half with a half clinic & half surgery day schedule
* Will cover night/weekend call coverage at a 1:3 ratio

Orthopedic Surgery Locums Opportunity ID #101794:
* Must have an active & unrestricted Illinois license & CSR
* Active Board Certification and/or true eligibility required
* Fellowship training is preferred but not required
* Scope of coverage: must be comfortable with full gamut of bread & butter orthopedic surgery to include total joints (knees, joints & hip replacements)
* 100% Adult + Geriatric patient population, no peds whatsoever
* Volume: between 15-20 PPD between clinic, surgery + call coverage
* Facility details: located about 2 hours outside of Chicago, MediTech EMR, 100+ bed facility, not a designated trauma location
* Current staff: Two Orthopedic Surgeons currently on staff + 2 Ortho specialized NPs (will have a 1:3 call rotation)
* NPs take call with Orthopedic Surgeons + assist in the clinic/surgery setting
* Option to have a Monday - Friday clinic/surgery schedule OR to have a 4 day clinic/surgery schedule + one administrative day
* Weekdays are spent in the clinic setting or doing scheduled surgeries, many week days are split in half with a half clinic & half surgery day schedule
* Two designated trauma programs located within 45+ minutes of the facility (level 1 + level II) that any major trauma is transferred to (may have to stabilize patient prior to transfer)
