Orthopedic Surgery Locums-to-Permanent or Permanent Job in Northern Illinois | ASAP Start
Northern Illinois facility seeking a permanent Orthopedic Surgeon to join their team due to a one of their physicians recently announcing their intent to move states. The facility is seeking to hire someone to start working in the position as soon as possible and is open to allowing a candidate to assist with locums coverage first & prior to making a permanent commitment.
Orthopedic Surgery Locums to Perm Opportunity ID #100824:
* Seeking a Board Certified + experienced Orthopedic Surgeon to join a team of two other Ortho Surgeons ASAP
* Fellowship training is preferred but not required
* Willing to consider candidates that aren't actively licensed in Illinois but will need to obtain an Illinois medical license + CSR prior to starting (average of 3-4 months)
Schedule + Group details:
* Three current Orthopedic Surgeons currently on staff - losing one that is leaving the area (will be a 1:3 call rotation)
* Two Orthopedic NPs in group + willing to add a 3rd NP on board for incoming surgeon
* NPs take call with Orthopedic Surgeons + assist in the clinic/surgery setting
* Option to have a Monday - Friday clinic/surgery schedule OR to have a 4 day clinic/surgery schedule + one administrative day
* Weekdays are spent in the clinic setting or doing scheduled surgeries, many week days are split in half with a half clinic & half surgery day schedule
* Two designated trauma programs located within 45+ minutes of the facility (level 1 + level II) that any major trauma is transferred to (may have to stabilize patient prior to transfer)
Scope of work/practice details:
* Must be comfortable with full gamut of bread & butter orthopedic surgery to include total joints
* Must be able to do knees, joints & hip replacements
* 100% Adult + Geriatric patient population, no peds whatsoever
* Volume averages to be 15-20 PPD between clinic, surgery + call coverage
* Facility details: located about 2 hours outside of Chicago, MediTech EMR, 100+ bed facility, not a designated trauma location
