MyMichigan Health, an affiliate of the University of Michigan Health, has an outstanding opportunity for an Orthopedic Surgeon in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. The MD/DO must be board certified or board eligible.

Sault Ste. Marie was settled as early as 1668, which makes it Michigan's oldest city and among the oldest cities in the United States. Located at the northeastern edge of the Upper Peninsula, it is separated by the St. Marys River from the much-larger city of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Reason for Recruitment - Community Need

Practice Details/Information
Well established orthopedic service line, including robotics, with outpatient clinic located on campus of the Medical Center. Meditech is the current EMR with the change to EPIC occurring in the spring of 2024. Large demand for services with a supportive team of colleagues and staff, both locally and within system. Require surgeons who will do general “bread and butter” orthopedic work with ability to create niche work depending on ones interests and training. Surgeons with spine, hand and trauma fellowships have previously been part of our team.

Patient and Procedure Mix
General orthopedic surgery. Ability to create niche work if desired.

Schedule
Traditional office hours:
Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Call - 1:3 call requirement
