Orthopedic Surgery Opportunity - Newport, TN
Tennova Newport Medical Center and Jefferson Memorial Hospital is seeking a BE/BC General Orthopedic Surgeon to join a busy, single-specialty group in the community. Prefer 2+ years' experience, however, new grads are welcome to apply!
Newport, TN is an easy 45-minute interstate drive from Knoxville, home to the University of Tennessee featuring strong academic programs and NCAA Division I sports programs. The symphony orchestra, art museum, opera company and other entertainment options provide great additions to the cultural scene. The community is also home to a strong school system. Newport is just off I-40 for easy access to Knoxville or Asheville. Newport Medical Center is a 4-star quality facility with a strong medical staff engaged in providing healthcare to the community.
Jefferson Memorial Hospital serves the Lakeway area with leading-edge technology and a caring, East Tennessee spirit. The hospital is a 4 Star Rated Facility by CMS and holds an A rating by Leapfrog Group. The hospital was opened in 2001, and in 2011 a major facility construction project was completed which included renovation and expansion to the emergency room, a new intensive care unit, and enhancements to patient and family waiting and registration areas in both inpatient and outpatient departments.
