**Orthopedic Surgery Opening in NE** -Located in North Platte, NE. -Full Time & Permanent Position. **Highlights** -Competitive compensation & benefits. -On-call and weekend duties, as required. -Travel to outreach clinics in neighboring counties required, as needed, but not anticipated to exceed a few hours per month. -Minimum Requirements: a Medical Doctorate degree or ECFMG equivalent; completion of medical residency training in Orthopedic Surgery, fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma, and fellowship training in Hip and Knee Replacement. -Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery; and current Nebraska medical license. **About the job** Provides inpatient and outpatient surgery services for patients through the Hospital, its surgery center, and its outreach clinics, specializing in Joint Reconstruction and general orthopedic procedures. Clinical duties generally include examination and diagnosis of patients to develop an appropriate plan of care and treatment protocol, evaluation of risks, and selection of appropriate surgical procedure for musculoskeletal conditions and injuries and the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders of the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles. Provides consultation to Hospital medical staff, makes recommendations and treats appropriately to optimize patient care and outcome. Provides preoperative, intra-operative, postoperative, and rehabilitative care as needed. Participates in Hospital programs and committees and performs medical audits as required. Provides general medical supervision and direction of general surgery services.
