Orthopedic Surgery opening in NY Located in Oswego, New York Full-Time & Permanent Seeking a BE/BC Orthopedic Surgeon to join well established center. Well established practice that moved into new space in 2019 and has onsite imaging (dedicated x-ray technician; OR upgraded to the CORI robot, however do still use Visionaire as well (4-OR shared); working towards certification in total hip/knee through the Joint Commission; high volume practice, physicians seeing approximately 22-25 ppd with support. - Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00a-4:30p (outpatient); Monday-Friday 7:00a-3:00p (inpatient when on call) - Call Required: Approximately 7-days of ED call per month (includes 5 week days and 1 weekend in base contract); 1 weekend per month is required and this is 1:4 with a local provider taking weekend call 3-5 times per month; ED call mirrors office call (may start requiring APP to take office call) - Practice Staffing Model: Increased census; currently 2 MDs (with one leaving in December that specializes in upper extremity and sports medicine); 2 clinic APPs; 2 surgical APPs and would like to increase to 3 surgical APPs - Types of Procedures/Cases: Clinic will see bread and butter Orthopedics w/ joint replacement experience, sports medicine, and PRP injections; some hand, some foot/ankle, some trauma; looking to add upper extremity and sports medicine - EMR: Meditech Compensation: - Base: $600,000 guaranteed base salary (potentially more with experience) + production bonuses based on RVU model; RVU threshold: 8,214 with RVU dollar amount: $82.00 (first tier and tier upwards) - Incentives/Bonuses: Quality and Citizenship bonuses possible (up to $25k annually) - Relocation: Up to $10,000 possible - Sign-on Bonus: $75,000 (paid half within 30 days of starting and second half on anniversary) - Student Loan Repayment: Up to $10,000 annually (State and HPSA program offerings) - Competitive paid time off and CME time off (15 days paid time off + 7 days of sick leave = 22 paid days off) - Comprehensive Benefits Package: health, dental, vision, 403B, life and disability (Blue Cross, Blue Shield available for provider and family and effective on day 1) - Annual CME, dues and licensure reimbursement (Up to $3,500 and 5 days for CME provided, with $2,000 for dues & licenses) - Malpractice (occurrence based) Location: Located in New York States Central region, Oswego offers small city living with close proximity to many large metropolitan areas.
