We are seeking a highly skilled, board-certified or board-eligible Trauma Surgeon to join a busy Level II Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in trauma, emergency general surgery, and critical care, and will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, multidisciplinary environment focused on high-quality, patient-centered care.
Job Responsibilities
Participate in emergency general surgery and trauma call rotation
Perform life-saving procedures in high-acuity and emergent situations
Collaborate closely with critical care, orthopedic trauma, neurosurgery, and emergency medicine teams
Participate in trauma quality improvement initiatives and trauma registry activities
Contribute to resident and medical student education (if applicable)
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Support ongoing compliance with trauma center standards and best practices
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care or Acute Care Surgery preferred
Active or eligible state medical license
ATLS certification required (Instructor status preferred)
Minimum 2 years post-fellowship experience in trauma or acute care surgery
Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center
Familiarity with trauma registries, ACS verification, and quality improvement processes
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a high-volume environment
