We are seeking a Board-Certified, Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon for inpatient-only locum coverage starting ASAP. This is a hospital-based opportunity with strong OR access and a consistent call schedule.

Shifts: 7–10 per month

Shift Length: 24-hour call (7a–7a)

Call Type: Inpatient only (no clinic)

Call Coverage: Two hospital campuses (13 miles apart)

Response Time: Must be within 30 minutes while on call
🏥 Practice Setting

Hospital-based, no clinic responsibilities

Level III Trauma services

Cover orthopedic traumas and same-day add-ons

Total joints not required

On pager call for 24 hours, called in as needed
Job Responsibilities
8 Physicians (Total Joint, Spine, Hand, Podiatry mix)
8 Advanced Practice Providers
Nursing and APP support in OR
Full lab, pharmacy, and medical imaging services
Average hospital census: 230–250
EMR: Cerner
No outreach
No telehealth
No teaching requirement
Qualifications
Fellowship Trained in Orthopedics – Required
Must be experienced – Required
Active IA & IL License OR
Active IA or IL License + Active IMLC OR
Active IMLC (LOQ required at name clear)
Must be willing to work at both hospital locations (note at name clear)
Clean malpractice & background – Required
Self-Query NPDB (pulled within 30 days) required at presentation
