Locum Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon
Assignment Overview:
Seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to provide ongoing locum coverage due to a provider resignation. Coverage is anticipated for up to two weeks per month for approximately 6–9 months.
Schedule:

Initial coverage: May 20 (7:00 AM) – May 25 (7:00 AM)

Ongoing coverage up to two weeks per month based on internal provider scheduling

24/7 emergency department call coverage with dedicated PA support

Outpatient clinic responsibilities include three morning clinic sessions per week (Monday–Friday, schedule to be determined)
Practice Setting:
-
Hospital and outpatient clinic
-
EMR: Epic
-
Strong hospital and clinic support staff, including physician assistants and medical assistants
Clinical Responsibilities:
-
Provide comprehensive orthopedic trauma care
-
Manage emergency department consults and surgical cases
-
Perform a full spectrum of orthopedic procedures, excluding complex pelvic cases

Participate in outpatient orthopedic clinic care
-
Typical case volume varies from 0–7 admissions per day
Qualifications:
-
Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon

Fellowship-trained in Orthopedic Trauma (trauma-experienced surgeons without fellowship may be considered if credentialing requirements are met)

Minimum of 5 years Level II trauma experience required

Washington State medical license strongly preferred or IMLC with Letter of Qualification

BLS and DEA required (may be obtained upon offer acceptance)

Clean malpractice history preferred

Availability at time of name clear required
